Today we're launching a staffing solution built specifically for protocol governance: you get dedicated, seasoned product engineers who care deeply about your protocol and ship like they're on your payroll — because, for all practical purposes, they are.

Buy a fraction of an engineer's time or deploy an entire squad. The Engineer joins your team - they optionally get onboarded like a regular employee or contractor. People we place will feel and work like your staff. They attend your standups, your offsites, learn your codebase, and build conviction about your governance outcomes. They are not fungible consultants rotating between clients. They are forward-deployed professionals who chose your protocol because they believe in it.

Why We Document and Monitor Everything

We're not just being thorough for its own sake. When a crisis hits — a contentious vote, a contract upgrade, a security incident — Agora swoops in alongside your embedded engineer to help. We can only do that well if the systems are documented, the tests are passing, and the monitoring is live. Our incentives are aligned: the better we maintain the foundation, the faster we can respond when you need us most.

The Relationship

This is not body-shopping. When we place an engineer with your team, you get the full benefit of a dedicated person who knows your systems intimately, and you accept the reality that comes with it, because systems are fully in-House. If your engineer quits or you decide another person is better for the role, we step in and manage the transition to the best of our ability -- but we don't guarantee capacity. We're matching people to protocols, so there is no guarantee of an instant match. There will be an interruption. We minimize it, but we won't pretend it doesn't exist.

What we won't do is silently swap people. Your engineer is your engineer, on your team, not ours. If you terminate the contract with Agora, that engineer is most likely out of a job.

Plus, if you want them to work on something other than governance, that's your call, and your risk. We recommend setting these expectations in advance, but just like a regular team member, plans can change.

If that's you, join us by choosing protocols you're excited, or even passionate about, and flag if you're available for fractional or full-time capacity. You have to pick both in advance -- you won't get matched otherwise. We will not place you on a protocol you aren't aligned with -- so don't ask. This isn't a constraint — it's how we guarantee that every engineer we deploy actually cares about the work.
