Faster Coordination for Holders: holders.vote

Jeff McLarty | Toronto, ONJuly 21, 2026

holders.vote is an experiment in coordination, built to support decentralized communities seeking an edge. It's the platform for soft-power and feedback — a place for asset holders to assemble and surface signal without heavy, binding governance.

It was conversations, experiences and lessons learned around the following…

  • Giving Ethereum holders a voice
  • DAO procurement processes
  • Token-Weighted DAO Governance

…that heavily influenced and inspired the launch of holders.vote.

holders.vote is an experiment in coordination, to support decentralized communities who are seeking an edge. We've looked at the successful primitives of Web2, and reimagined how they might benefit Web3.

holders.vote aims to allow asset holders to assemble, improve signal-to-noise amongst holders for virtually any process, and accelerate the discovery of narratives, priorities, problems and their solutions, without heavy and binding governance processes.

It's the platform for soft-power and feedback. We think it fills a genuine gap in the Web3 ecosystem, which, if it works — could accelerate everything our communities care about.

Familiar, but web3 native

The platform will feel familiar to anybody who's used Reddit. Identity, admins, and voting weights have all been re-imagined to be web3 native.

Because the experiment basically won't work without a critical mass of users, we're curating links to 20 of the organizations that are moving the Ethereum project forward, to get it started. You can read more about the curation here.

Sustainable and transparent

In order to make the project sustainable, we're going to be experimenting with mechanisms to add value, which will unlock features for both communities and users — all coming soon. The implementation of that revenue collection will be done all onchain, so that part is ultra transparent.

Rich Features

The site works using popular name systems in the ethereum ecosystem, then lets posters and users have threaded conversations sorted by weightings derived based on their assets. To start, we're supporting ERC-20s and NFTs. But, no need for IVotes for either. And, we're also supporting native ETH as well!

There is a rich read/read-write API and webhooks to trigger events from your own infrastructure, all based off of posts, comments, and votes. Every community can be configured with their own custom CSS, and posts can optionally be attested onchain. You can browse a specific community, or filter all communities using any given voting power source, for a harmonized viewed. Every post can be sorted by at least 2 ways - by count and by amount. Optionally, for IVotes tokens, voting power.

You can create a community today, all you need is .ens, .wei, or .gwei name + some relevant token.
